An evening of South American rhythms and melodies. Gaby Aparicio hails from Uruguay who is a bilingual singer/guitarist who is relatively new on the San Diego scene, having moved here in 2014. Stephanie Schmitz's Choro Sotaque opens for Aparicio at the new Java Joe's in Old Town. Choro is a lively toe-tapping instrumental music that incorporates jazz, classical, fanciful, and romantic rhythms and melodies often using uniquely Brazilian instruments.
