International Bloomsday celebration at San Diego Central Library celebrating James Joyce's legacy and his great novel "Ulysses." Live readings and performance of the book's controversial last chapter, "Molly's Soliloquy," featuring Molly Bloom, the sexually-assertive wife of main character Leopold Bloom. Other Irish tales by Joyce and other Irish writers will round out the evening.
Bloomsday is observed annually on June 16, 2017, when Joyceans from all walks of life and around the world open a book, raise a pint and relive the events in "Ulysses," which take place on that single day: June 16, 1904.
