When we first start to learn about wine, it is easier to learn about California, Australian, and South American wines for several reasons. First, these places are familiar to us and we know how to pronounce the locations. Secondly, the grape variety is often presented on the label. Then something happens, a friend comes over for dinner, you order a flight at a specialized wine locale or you simply want to try something new at your favorite restaurant, and you are presented with "Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, Soave, or a Vinho Verde." All of a sudden, we know nothing. Dustin Jones will try to lift the veil of mystery surrounding European wines.
