The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation is planning a Native American Gathering night on Friday, July 28, 2017, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Discovery Center, 1580 Cannon Road, Carlsbad. The event is the first in the new adult summer series sponsored by ViaSat. No registration is required, and the free adult event is open to the public.
The gathering will focus on the lives of the Native Americans who were the first inhabitants of the land around the Agua Hedionda Lagoon. Participants will have the opportunity to experience first-hand presentations by Native American storytellers from various bands. History will come alive as the storytellers relate their lagoon inhabitance, culture and preservation through time.
A light dinner and snacks will be provided.
