Winner of seven Cesars from the French Academy, this film paints the portrait of S?raphine Louis, a devout and eccentric woman and self-taught painter. She was discovered working as a housekeeper by Wilhelm Uhde, an art critic and gallerist famous for being an early collector of Picasso and Braque. Uhde admires the expressive power of Louis?s work, convinced she was a genius of the Na?ve art genre, and comes to support her artistic endeavors. (2 hours 5 minutes)
