Come enjoy a night of Camarada Fanfare featuring trumpet extraordinaire, Micah Wilkinson. Currently principal trumpet for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, Micah is a graduate of St. Olaf College (like our own Beth Ross Buckley & David Buckley) and received additional training from the Staatliche Hochschule f?r Musik in Freiburg, Germany. The triumphant sound of the trumpet is the inspiration for Fanfare.
Come hear upbeat and joyful works by composers like Domenico Scarlatti, Marcel Bitsch, and James Stephenson. These works are juxtaposed by lyrical, flowing works by Darius Milhaud and Philippe Gaubert. Camarada will also be performing a charming transcription by Johann Joachim Quantz for violin, trumpet and keyboard.
