San Diego Musical Theatre and California Ballet present this co-production of "Billy Elliot," a Tony Award-winning musical with music by Elton John.
Set in Northern England against the turbulent miner?s strike of 1984, 11-year-old Billy stumbles from the boxing ring into a ballet class. After discovering his extraordinary gift and passion for dance, Billy struggles to find acceptance from his coal-mining father.
This production is directed by Neil Dale, choreographed by Jared Nelson and stars San Diego native Charlie Garton as Billy Elliot.
