Join us for an afternoon celebrating French language and culture, and get ready to: Meet expert librarians who will show you the perfect resource in our collection for your next research or teaching project. Hear from the French attaché and Alliance Française on the importance of learning a second language and the significance of the French language and Francophonie. Listen to presentations from acclaimed authors Éric Fottorino and Pierre Ducrozet, who will share their work and answer questions from the audience. Engage with participating authors, including Adama Sissoko, Delphine Arbo Pariente, Alain Rolland, Vanina Joulin-Batejat and Karin Warin during a panel discussion. Discover new voices in prose and poetry from the UC San Diego French Club, while they compete for first place in a literary competition. Enjoy a social hour and light reception. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
