Concert: Indian Classical Flute

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
The Indian Classical flute or Bansuri is one of the world's oldest instruments. Fashioned out of a simple bamboo reed with seven or eight holes, and played by blowing the pranic breath across this humble instrument, its rich, soothing tone is capable of lending and delivering the most refined and subtle musical nuances and expression to any melody, making it a divine experience both, to the performer and the listener. Limited number of chairs will be available. Snacks will be available for purchase at the venue.

The concert features David Philipson on the bansuri and Miles Shrewsbery on the tabla.

All proceeds go to Care for Children schools for underprivileged children in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Care for Children is a service program of the Art of Living Foundation, a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. More information about Care for Children visit:
