Las Rutas del Arte: an Encounter with Latin American Art and Culture

The Institute is proud to partner with the Tijuana Municipal Institute of Arts and Culture (IMAC) to bring an installment of IMAC's The Latin American Artist Encounter ? Art Headed North series to San Diego. Art Headed North or Rutas del Arte features renowned artists, gallery owners, curators, critics, collectors and students from Latin America and the U.S.

An experts roundtable will include art analysis with Cecilia Fajardo-Hill, Chief Curator at the Museum of Latin American Art; Alexander Salazar, Art Critic, Collector and Dealer; and, Vladimir Cora, prominent Mexican artist. Following the roundtable, there will be a reception and Latin American art exhibit, and performances on our plaza by Cuban violinist Reinaldo Silva, and the Baja Californian dance troupe Lux Boreal. The event will be in English and interpretation will be provided for Spanish speakers.
