A Korean American family moves to an Arkansas farm in search of its own American dream. Amidst the challenges of new life in the strange and rugged Ozarks, they discover the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home. For the 1980s costumes, costume designer Susanna Song drew on her own Korean American immigrant family, who moved to California in the late seventies. She combed through old family photo albums to capture the textures, colors and silhouettes of that era. Working closely with director Lee Isaac Chung, actor Steven Yeun, and producer Christina Oh, she built nostalgic wardrobes that included Jacob’s red hat, Monica’s blue blouse and polka-dot skirt and young David’s cowboy boots.
