This fall, the House of Ukraine invites you to learn about vybiyka and create gifts for your family and friends leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Vybiyka is a hand-printing technique used to apply ornamental patterns onto fabric with the help of carved wooden blocks or stencils. Join us for a two-hour workshop led by Khrystyna Patyk, the founder of Ukrainian ethno-clothing brand "Zerno", where participants will decorate a centerpiece napkin using the vybiyka technique under her expert guidance. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this unique form of Ukrainian decorative and applied art and create meaningful gifts for the holiday season. Who can join: Adults and teens 16+ Limited spots: Only 15 participants! Secure your spot early. Bonus: Bring your own clothes (T-shirts, napkins, etc.) that you want to give second life to using the vybiyka technique. Participants will first learn by decorating a linen centerpiece napkin, then, if time permits, will have the chance to decorate their own items.
