Local photographers MJ Pimentel, Oscar Cruz, and Chata join forces with regional artists from the MCASD Collection in this exhibition drawn from The Dean Collection of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. The works explore the San Diego-Tijuana border region through multiple lenses - gentrification, Chicana/o/e activism, lowrider culture, and the ecological impacts of colonialism. You'll find everything from Andrea Chung's cyanotypes of lionfish to Fox Maxy's sculptural video installation examining the forces that have shaped this landscape and its communities.
