Throughout the 250-year history of the United States, Chinese Americans—as a minority group—have collectively faced discrimination and marginalization; yet, the prejudice and harm experienced by Chinese American women have been even more insidious and profound. The documentary *Voices: Chinese Women of the Delta* focuses on the Chinese women who pioneered the fertile Sacramento River Delta, chronicling their hidden sorrows, sacrifices, struggles, and resilience. This lecture will feature the film's director, Min Zhou, alongside one of the storytellers Carol Lee, as they share the behind-the-scenes stories of this documentary.
