Kumeyaay Comics by the Kumeyaay Visual Storytelling Project is an immersive exhibit inspired by the two-part graphic novel titled, Our Past, Present, and Future, and Beyond Gaming, authored by Kumeyaay scholars and historians Ethan Banegas, Michael Connolly Miskwish, Lorraine Orosco, and Stanley Rodriguez. The vibrant, colorful comics are illustrated by John Swogger. Beyond Gaming is a walk-through of a community gathering with tribal historians. Our Past, Present, and Future is a series of two-page spreads telling histories from Kumeyaay perspectives.
