This exhibition includes animals from India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Sweden, England, Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States of America. Some were made as toys ? a herd of Swedish horses, or for children to ride ? a rocking horse and a carousel horse. Others have religious connections ? the Indian temple horses. Most of the horses are fashioned from wood, but metal, clay and straw objects are also to be seen. in addition to the horses, a selection of Navajo blankets is on display. a brief film, the Horse in Folk Art, accompanies the exhibition. No closing date has been announced. This ongoing exhibit will be held from now until December 23, 2006.
