The San Diego Japanese Friendship garden is proud to present a seminar on aesthetic pruning of Japanese maple and black pine, principles of stone arranging, and tamamono pruning of garden shrubs. the seminar will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12, 2006. the seminar will consist of four sessions with lectures and "hands on" techniques. the four sessions will be Fall Pruning Techniques for Japanese Maples, Fall Pruning Techniques for Japanese Black Pines, Basic Stone Arrangement, and Tamamono Pruning design.
One may sign uo for a one-day or two-day seminar. Participants choosing a one day seminar will have to specify which two sessions they would prefer to attend while the participants for the two-day seminar will include all four sessions. the fees are $60 for one-day seminar and $100 for two-day seminar. The sessions each day will be held from 8:45am to 11:30 AM and 12:15:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Lunch will be provided by the Garden. Each seminar session has limited spaces, therefore participants will be taken on a first come first serve basis.
