Banafsheh holds a MA in Chinese Medicine and MFA from UCLA where she also taught Persian Dance. With a background in Persian Dance, Flamenco, Yoga, Tai Chi and Eastern philosophy, Banafsheh fuses rigorous dance technique with Persian mysticism and the Chinese view of the internal functioning of the body to create movement that is self-illuminating and healing. Banafsheh has toured extensively in North America Europe and Australia with her dance company NAMAH. She continues to teach workshops around Europe and North America. This event will be held on January 7- February 11, 2007 from 4:30-5:30pm.
