Uruguayan singer/songwriter Jorge Drexler got involved in music while
learning how to play piano at the age of five. Later, he attended guitar and
composition classes. It was in 1989 when Jorge Drexler began songwriting,
recording his first album, called La Luz Que Sabe Robar, in 1992 and Radar
in 1994. A year later the artist moved to Spain, having the opportunity to
perform live along with Joaqu?n Sabina, Pablo Milan?s, and V?ctor Manuel,
among others. Jorge Drexler and his song Al otro lado del Rio is the first
Academy award-winner in 2004 for the movie MOTORCYCLE DIARIES that is in the
Spanish language. Doors open at 7:00pm.
