The Muir Musical Ensemble Presents CABARET

Welcome to the CABARET! Life is beautiful, the girls are beautiful--even the orchestra is beautiful. Or so you think when you find yourself captivated by the the glamour and glitz of the Kit Kat Klub, a popular 1929 Berlin nightclub--and the primary locale of the 1966 Kander and Ebb musical. But as you settle into the night, you realize that the haunt is actually a seedy hotspot for the rising Nazi party?and that the chaotic life within the club is seeping into the domestic world. The musical is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. UC San Diego Mandeville Auditorium. April 12, 13, & 14 at 8:00 PM
