San Diego Academy of Ballet?s Don Quixote will debut at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts on April 20, 2007. A comedic and intriguing love story, this colorful ballet is a re-creation of the original Russian masterpiece. It features former Bolshoi dancer Maxim Tchernychev and Russian principal dancers Vadim Slavitskiy and Victoria Luchkina, formerly of the elite Grigorovich Ballet (Grigorovich directed the Bolshoi Ballet for 30 years) and Valeri Tchekachev, formerly of the Kirov Ballet. Over 75 local dancers will also perform. Performances are April 20-22, 2007; Fri 7PM; Sat 1:00 PM, 7PM; Sun 1:00 PM. This presentation of Don Quixote is exhilarating, passionate and fun for the whole family.
