UCSD presents Korea, North and South: A Cinematic Perspective Jan. 25-27 in the Calit2 complex at UCSD. The free event features drama, romance and comedy films depicting modern Korean society, culture
and people on the divided Korean peninsula. Starts at 9:00am everyday and ends between 9:00 and 10:00pm.

Woman on the Beach, showing Jan. 27, is about film director Joong Rae who goes on a road trip to the west coast with his friend and his friend's girlfriend. On the beautiful beach of Shinduri, Joong Rae finds himself attracted to his friend's girlfriend and other women.

The event includes a panel discussion by film directions, producers and scholars. Special guests include Minster Kim Myong Gil and Ambassador Byung-hyo Choi.

Location: the Calit2 Auditorium and Calit2 Theater of Atkinson Hall at UCSD, La Jolla
