Islam is the religion of 1.2 billion people worldwide, and the second largest religion after Christianity. For the fifth of the world's population who are Muslims, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. This lecture will provide a general overview of the religion of Islam, as well as the role of Islam in several Muslim societies today.
