Meet Latino Literary Award Winner for best Spanish fiction, Irene Armenta DesGeorges, at this month?s meeting. Inocenia: A Woman who Challenged Fate describes a story of forbidden love and the complex drama that unfolds between families from different socio-political extremes in Mexico. Author Irene Armenta DesGeorges was born in Sonora, Mexico and studied at the University of California at San Diego. She will discuss her award-winning book, which she recently translated into English herself to ensure an accurate translation. Books will be available for purchase.
