Released in 2007 to great acclaim, this film Gandhi My Father reveals the troubled life of Harilal Gandhi (Akshaye Khanna), son of Mahatma Gandhi (Darshan Jariwala). The movie describes Gandhi's failure as a father and Harilal's burden of being the son of a celebrated parent, who through his philosophy of nonviolence led India's freedom from British rule 60 years ago.
