UCSD 30th Annual Cultural Celebration

The Tradition Turns 30 at the 30th Annual Cultural Celebration on Saturday, April 12th, 2008, from 10:00am to 4:00pm on the campus of Thurgood Marshall College at UCSD. This free event is a student-run, campus- and community-funded festival held each second Saturday of April since 1977. Featuring live music, traditional dances, games of the world, international cuisine, and the immensely popular Children's Village.

There will be continuous free live entertainment all day, with Baile Folklorico, Kaibigang Pilipino, Vejea Jennings, Mad Latin, African Drumming, Celtic Band, Belly Dancing, Bhangra Team, Kybele, Step Dancing, South East Asian A Cappella and more. The completely free Children's Village features Llama Rides, Bounce House, and Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Local vendors and merchants selling their international cuisine and artisan crafts create a bazaar-like atmosphere.
