San Diego Gay Pride Parade and Festival starts off with a free parade at 11:00 AM on Saturday along University Avenue (between Normal Street and Sixth Avenue). This year's parade will begin with a protest march against the criminalization of and discrimination against homosexuality which occurs in many countries.
The Parade is followed by festival at noon. The festival includes multiple stages of entertainment featuring more than 70 musicians, bands, comedy and dance performers, art exhibits, vintage auto show, cultural presentations and merchant and food booths. Admission for the Festival: $15 for one day, $25 for two-day pass. (please note: The parade if free, there is an admission for the festival)
