The Obon Festival features the colorful Bon Odori Japanese folk dancing -- the public is invited to join in. Performances and displays during the day include taiko drumming, hands-on koto & shakuhachi, tea ceremony, suminagashi paper marbling activity, beaded flowers, and brush painting. Japanese food available until 6:00 PM or until sold out (whichever comes first). Carnival games for children. Festival schedule at www.vbtemple.org
