The Hui o Hawaii of San Diego in co-operation with Ahahui Kiwila Hawaii o San Diego 501(c) 3 is hosting a Hawaiian Cultural Fair. This event will raise funds towards supporting the organization and expanding their cultural program. It is also a means to share with the public the Hawaiian culture. This event will include performance workshops of hula by renowned Kumu Hula Sissy Kaio and Slack Key guitar by Hawaiian musician, songwriter, producer Patrick Landeza. Arts and Craft workshops will be conducted in the art of lei hulu (feather), Ti leaf lei making, and lauhala (bark) weaving. The event will have food, information, and Hawaiian and Polynesian vendors. There will be a continuous opportunity drawing during the two days. Performances by several distinguished hula halau from the San Diego area will be through out the day.
