Young Audiences of San Diego is hosting its 4th Annual Summer Salsa fundraiser on Saturday, August 23rd from 7:00 PM to 10 PM This festive event is being held at the McMillin Event Center/NTC Promenade at Liberty Station in Point Loma. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $40 per person at the door. The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit arts education programs in San Diego County.
Summer Salsa, which is open to the public, includes a salsa lesson, professional salsa demonstration, dancing to a 13-piece band, buffet dinner, no-host bar, raffles, and bidding on silent auction items -- from plane tickets and a week in Provence, to dinners out and golf packages.
Now celebrating its 45th year, Young Audiences of San Diego is the oldest and largest San Diego nonprofit whose sole mission is arts education, encompassing music, dance, theatre, visual arts and creative writing. As part of the national Young Audiences network, Young Audiences of San Diego supports local education agencies, grades K-12, filling a gap with its arts education programs. Last school year Young Audiences provided 7,000 programs for 54,000 students at more than 150 schools and community sites throughout San Diego County.
