Media Arts Center San Diego's San Diego Latino Film Festival is proud to present its??? 9th Annual Cinema en tu Idioma Film Series showcasing new Latin American, Mexican and Spanish Cinema. The 4-month series will continue in September with the screening of MALDEAMORES (LOVESICKNESS), starring Luis Guzman.
A crowd-pleaser at the recent 2008 San Diego Latino Film Festival and chosen to represent Puerto Rico at the 80th Academy Awards celebrated this year, MALDEAMORES (LOVESICKNESS) stars Luis Guzman. From executive producer Benicio Del Toro comes a film about love of all kinds and at all ages in the backyards of Puerto Rico. A child's first kiss. A man who can???t grasp rejection. An unfaithful husband. An elderly love affair. Passion defeats reason again and again in this film about the eternal masochistic search for love.
MALDEAMORES (LOVESICKNESS) will screen for one-week only exclusively at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas at Hazard Center.
Run time: 83 minutes. Screening times are: 11:30 am, 1:45 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:15 pm, 8:30 pm, and 10:45 pm.
