The Jonathan Tarr Foundation, founded in memory of a North County high school students, will be hosting its sixth annual Sharing the Aloha Spirit Gala on Saturday, October 11th.
Thomas M. Buchenau, outstanding East County Attorney and Civic Leader, will be receiving the 2009 Humanitarian Award during the Gala.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Windows of Opportunity Scholarship program, recognizing and supporting deserving students from schools offering alternative education curriculum.
The event features a Polynesian buffet supper, a silent auction, entertainment by Halau Hula A Kaika Laua 'O Leinani, and opportunity drawings. Individual tickets are $75.00 each and sponsorships are available.
