The Swedish Center and the Consulate of Sweden present there first Swedish Film Festival of the year. The first film, "ARN- The Knight Templar", is based on the best selling book series from the famous Swedish novelist, Jan Guillou. It will be screened at 3 pm on February 8th, at the Swedish Center in San Diego, which is located at the San Diego State University. It is a Swedish film with English subtitles (PG-13).
The film is about the emergence of what we today call Sweden! It combines fiction with historical facts and makes references to real events and people during the 12th century in Sweden and the Middle East. The film tells us about Arn and Cecilia and offers a rich gallery of brave knights, powerful queens and treacherous kings. It is an epic tale of war and intrigue, friendship and betrayal, but also an unforgettable love story...
