Cave of the Yellow Dog (Germany, 2005) — Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Byambasuren Davaa, the docudrama underscores the disappearing ways of nomadic life in Mongolia

Gabbeh (Iran, 1996) – Written and directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf, as an aged nomadic couple wash their old rug in a stream, its designs magically come to life and recount poignant episodes in their lives together
5 pm:
The Wind Will Carry Us (Iran, 1999) – Renowned writer-director Abbas Kiarostami’s atmospheric masterpiece reveals contrasting themes of life and death and modernity and tradition as four urban professionals visit the remote Kurdish village of Siah Dareh
