20th Annual Multi-Cultural Earth Day

WorldBeat Center presents the 20th Annual Multi-Cultural Earth Day, 2009, dedicated to inspire awareness and appreciation of Mother Earth's Environment. This year's Multi-Cultural Earth Day is dedicated to water; to advocate water harvesting and awareness on the globalization of world water. This year WorldBeat Center will celebrate on three stages: our main outdoor stage in Balboa Park, our indoor stage at WorldBeat Center, and our sound system stage. International crafts and food will be sold in booths. There will be a raffle, plus performances by African drummers and dancers, Capoeira, Taiko, Egyptian Dance & Drum Group, Super Sonic Samba School, kids workshop, and an Earth Healing Empowerment workshop. This year will feature main groups from Jamaica flying in for this event that is known all over the world. The main acts include Sister Carol, best known for her debut album, Black Cinderella, Brigadier Jerry, Rootz Underground Bredrins and more.
