ArtWalk 2009 celebrates visual and auditory arts. Over 400 California-, Arizona-, Mexico-based artists will showcase their painting, sculpture, glasswork, photography, dance, music by local bands, and activities for kids.
This year the festival features a group of sculptors and photographers who hail from Mexico and whose work is as diverse as their country—from Alejandra Phelts's colorful paintings of historic dresses to Hugo Heredia’s graceful glass-and-steel sculptures. Check them out at the Mexican Consulate at 1549 India St. There will also be a special edition of the Little Italy Mercato (farmers market) on April 25.
Admission: FREE
Location: Little Italy, along India Street, from Beech Street to Fir Street.
