King Sunny Ade is the undisputed king of Nigerian Jùjú music, music that blends traditional African instruments (such as the "Talking Drum"), sounds and words with a unique and masterful electric guitar sound. Ade and His African Beats have been featured in three films -- Juju Music in 1988, Live At Montreux in 1990 and Roots of Rhythm in 1997 and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. He is one of the most prolific musical artists of all time, having released no less than 123 albums. He is considered one of the founders of the "World Beat" genre.
