The Red Lotus Society is hosting their first annual sit-a-thon, a fund-raising event to promote peace through meditation in San Diego, and to raise money to support their community based meditation center. The Red Lotus Society will celebrate the diversity of meditation practice with 12 different styles of meditation offered throughout the day. Representatives from Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, and Islam among other faiths will gather for this all-day spiritual retreat. Plus, drinks and refreshments will be provided!
The organization's goal is to raise $8,000 to support its community meditation center, and keep donation-based classes available to the public.
