Learn of "The Artistic Traditions of Palekh in Historical Perspective" when "Art in the Evening" lecture series continues with talk by Cal State Northridge history professor Andrew Jenks. Palekh is a Russian folk handicraft of miniature painting, which is done with tempera paints on varnished articles made of papier-mâché (small boxes, cigarette and powder cases etc.)
