Celebrate Peruvian Independence Day (perhaps a little late; the actual date of the holiday is July 28) with the House of Perú. Enjoy an afternoon in Balboa Park with your family and friends. At 2 pm, there will be a performance of indigenous music and dance. In addition to the Peruvian food to be served, arts and crafts will be for sale.
Typical Peruvian food will be served: Arroz con Pollo (Rice Chicken), Papa a la Huancaina (Potatoes with creamy-cheese sauce), Picarones (fluffy yucca-yam doughnuts served with molasses syrup) and to accompany this delicious plates nothing better than the Peruvian national soda: Inca Kola.
