Honoring the Past, Building the Future is the theme for fifth annual FilAmFest 2009, described as an intergenerational Filipino-American arts and culture event.
Special Note: In light of the recent events in the Philippines surrounding Typhoon Ondoy, the 5th Annual Filipino-American Arts & Culture Festival, also known as FilAmFest, is coordinating with organizations to increase community awareness and public support through monetary and material donations.
Realizing that efforts are currently being conducted by several San Diego-based organizations to alleviate the peril of millions of Filipinos in the impacted areas, FilAmFest is serving as a community resource of information on the various ways that individuals and groups can help the Philippines in its most critical hour.
