Museum of Photographic Arts presents a weekend of dynamic films and inspiring conversations at the annual Human Rights Watch Film Festival from Thursday, Feb. 2 to Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.

Now in its seventh year, the festival continues to spotlight human rights abuses through storytelling in a way that challenges each individual to empathize and demand justice for all people.

The schedule includes:

February 2
What Tomorrow Brings - 7:00 PM
the story of the first all-girls school in a remote Afghan village.

February 3
They Call Us Monsters - 7:00 PM
about the place where Los Angeles places its most violent juvenile offenders.

February 4
Almost Sunrise - 3:00 PM
the tale of two young veterans haunted by their combat experiences.

I Am Not Your Negro - 7:00 PM
a look at what it means to be black in America, working from the text of James Baldwin.

February 5
The Crossing - 3:00 PM
a first-hand account of the perilous journey made by Syrian refugees.

All Governments Lie - 7:00 PM
a look at how independent journalists are changing the face of news.
