Donizetti’s Viva la Mamma will be performed for the first time in San Diego this September 18th & 19th at 7pm, and 20th at 3pm! This opera is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy that takes you behind the scenes of an opera rehearsal gone completely off the rails. Filled with oversized personalities, clashing egos, and theatrical chaos, the story features a diva with a temper, a struggling tenor, and the unforgettable Mamma Agata—who barges in to advocate for her daughter and ends up stealing the spotlight herself. This production will be performed in Italian with English supertitles, accompanied by piano and strings, and featuring an all star cast!
