Join the University of California San Diego's Institute of the Americas as they welcome correspondent Gary Neeleman to San Diego. Neeleman will present a lecture that explores the United States-Brazilian relationship from 1876 through World War II in 1947.
Neeleman has written a trilogy about the relationship between the two nations, and his work include: Tracks in the Amazon - The day-to-day life of the workers on the Madeira Mamore Railroad, The Stars and Bars Beneath the Southern Cross -The Confederate Migration to Brazil and "The Rubber Soldiers - the Forgotten Army that Saved WWII.
