Bow Making Class

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
Over 150 years ago, the Cocopah, PaiPai, Kumeyaay/Diegue?o, Mohave, Yuma, Kiliwa, and other Yuman-speaking tribes of the extreme Southwest, southern California, and upper Baja California made long bows of mesquite, ash, and willow for hunting and war. The same technology is still used to make bows today.

Join Paul Campbell, author of Survival Skills of Native California, as he instructs how to make these traditional style willow bows. His book is also available for purchase in the Museum Store and Paul will be on hand to sign them.
